Very Professional. We were scheduled with Mike and he was very open, honest and up front about it being less than ideal hunting conditions and gave us the opportunity to cancel rather than go on a first time goose hunt that may not have been successful.
I had the time of my life on my very first Pheasant Hunt in September, 2019. Brock was a great guide explaining what to expect and how to ready for the shot, and his dog Brie was amazing in pointing and retrieving. I nailed 9 birds out of my 10 Bird Hunt, not bad for a first timer; I will definitely be back for more. Thanks for an amazing hunt.
Being sick for the last two years I wasn’t sure if this bucket list hunt was ever going to take place, it was more than I expected and the laughs and camaraderie, were as much fun as the hunt itself.

Great Time Had By All
For a bunch of novice shot gunners, Mike let us help setup and explained to us the importance of letting the birds come right in to make ethical clean shots. He made sure to explain the safety for each shooter. He took the time to teach us the difference between the birds and their ages. With a bunch of people who have never shot a goose before, all people in the group had many opportunities and many smiles were seen.
We would like to thank Mike, Avis and Staff for a great shoot and lots of fun. We look forward to our hunt next October.
Good Time Myself (Dave) and my 90 year old hunting partner Cliff had a great 2 day hunt with Mike. Lots of birds, Great equipment, really professional gear.
Mike and Avis were wonderful hosts. We stayed at the North Country Inn which provided us with every thing we needed. Great place to stay. We also enjoyed a great evening visiting and telling stories with Mike, Avis and other hunters. A hunt that we will remember for years to come.
Returning. Looking forward to a couple of trips back to Feathers and Fins in 2019. This year I get to introduce a pal to goose hunting and I know he will be impressed with the equipment, the amount of birds and Mikes outfit.
Well Worth It
I can’t even tell you how exciting it was to have hundreds of geese fly overhead. I remember laying in the layout blind thinking “this hunt better be worth it!.” Well friends, I can honestly say that it was bar none the most exciting hunts I’ve ever been on. No two ways about it. We had such a good time out there it was amazing. My best buddy will talk about those hunts forever. We’ve already rebooked again and will be doing so for the foreseeable future! 2 thumbs up, 10 stars and 5 diamonds!
We had two days of excellent guided goose hunting with Mike and crew in late September: we basically, ignored ducks but there are many available between the goose flights.
Mike is professional and successful at setting a very large field of decoys and in finding geese in all weather conditions. If you are planning on shooting with Mike, be prepared to leave with a cooler containing your limit of geese. Happily, Mike does arrange for cleaning of the birds if requested by those, like us, who would prefer to finish the day in the nearby hotel restaurant. We will be booking soon for a repeat experience next year.
Another Great Shoot
Just returned from my second booking with Mike this fall. My friends and I are all impressed with the scouting, equipment, locations and efforts toward providing a safe and exciting shoot. His passion for the sport, ability to get birds in close and coaching novice shooters make it all worthwhile. We are re – booking for next fall.
Best Outfitter in the North. 5 Star Outfitter had an amazing time hunting with Mike and his team. These guys will get you on the game. Very professional if anyone young or old wants to have a great shoot give feathers and fins a call. I can’t wait to go again.
