Vanderhoof is the geographic centre of British Columbia – directly on the Pacific Migratory Flyway. The territory that we hunt is the first major stop for the migratory game birds on their way south, so they are easily attracted to decoys.
The geese we hunt are mainly Canada Geese and a smaller number of Specklebelly and Snow Geese. More than 150,000 of these geese migrate through this area every year.
The duck population is mainly Mallards with a mix of Northern Pintails. Most fields will be barley and oats, with some rye and peas. The blinds are shadow free lay down blinds, some willow blinds and Zinc A-frame blinds for good access and comfort.

We start off all our hunts by contacting you the night before the hunt to set up a predetermined location to meet early in the morning.
